Presentation

The Ninth International Symposium on "Biology of Decision Making" (SBDM) will take place on May 27-29, 2019 in Oxford, UK. The venue is: The Maths Institute, Andrew Wiles Building, Radcliffe Observatory Quarter Woodstock Road, Oxford OX2 6GG.


The objective of this three-day symposium will be to gather people from different research fields with different approaches (psychology, economics, ethology, psychiatry, neural, behavioral, computational and robotics approaches) to decision making.
The conference will include 6 sessions:

  1. Neural circuits for decisions about if and when to act (chair: Mark Walton).  
  2. Social decision-making (chair: Patricia Lockwood) 
  3. Mood, emotion and decision-making (chair: Miriam Klein-Flügge) 
  4. Optimizing information processing for the decision context (chair: Jill O’Reilly) 
  5. Memory and inference (chair: Andrew Bell) 
  6. Exploration and information-seeking (chair: Nils Kolling) 

 

News:

The provisional program is now available from the Program tab in the left menu (02/05/2019).

Registration will be closed by May 15, 2019 (Extended). Nevertheless, there will still be rooms at Rewley House after May 15 (available on request to our mailing address). And we still have a few places left for registration on the door/after May 15 by special arrangement (e.g. similarly, mail us).

Poster submission is now closed (23/04/2019).

Warning: Oxford will be very busy during this period, which corresponds to half term. Please book your hotel/accomodation in advance. As of March 12th, there are still availabilities at the Rewley house which can be reserved while registering to SBDM 2019 with the online store. Update on March 21st: Single rooms at the Rewley house have now sold out.
